Printed hood graphics are ORAJET 3551RA under a protective laminate. Both are weather-resistant through sun, rain, trails and the wash bay, and both remove cleanly later without harming your factory paint. Hood shapes vary a lot across Jeep, so fitment is the thing to nail before you order. The Wrangler Sport, Sahara, and Willys run a mostly flat hood, while the Rubicon and many 4xe and 392 builds add a raised power-dome and hood vents. Designs cut to work around that dome and those vents are flagged on their individual listings. The JK, JL, and TJ each have their own hood dimensions, the Gladiator JT hood is scaled differently again, and Grand Cherokee, Compass, and Ford Bronco hoods are different shapes entirely. Every product lists the exact models and years it fits, so start with your platform and year, then pick your coverage. How do I know a hood decal will fit my Jeep?

Every listing states the exact models and year ranges it fits: Jeep Wrangler (JL, JK, TJ), Gladiator (JT), Grand Cherokee, Compass, and Ford Bronco or Bronco Sport. Hood shapes differ between models, so a set cut for a JL hood is scaled to that hood. Start with your platform and year, match the listing, and you are set.

Do these fit the vented Rubicon or power-dome hood?

Some do. Designs cut to work around the Rubicon power-dome and hood vents, also found on many 4xe and 392 builds, are flagged on their individual listings, so check the fitment notes before ordering. If your hood has a raised dome or vents and a design is not specifically noted for it, a center accent or hood lettering is the safe choice because it sits clear of the dome.

Will a hood decal damage my paint or clear coat?

No. Cut hood decals are ORACAL 651, an intermediate calendered film with a removable-friendly permanent adhesive, and they come off cleanly later without lifting your factory paint or clear coat. One caveat: apply only to fully cured factory paint. If your hood was recently repainted, wait about 30 to 60 days before applying so the new paint can fully cure and outgas.

How long do hood decals last outdoors?

It depends on the color. Orafol rates ORACAL 651 at roughly six years outdoors for standard colors, about four years for metallics, and around three for brilliant blue. Printed hood graphics on ORAJET 3551RA with laminate run about three to six years depending on climate and sun exposure. Real-world lifespan varies with your weather, and hand washing instead of harsh automatic brushes keeps them on the longer end.

What is the difference between a hood decal, a blackout, and a full hood graphic?

A center or power-dome accent is a clean OEM-plus look. Side Edition pairs give a sporty two-stripe style. A blackout dome or full hood graphic covers more of the hood for maximum impact. Pick by how bold you want the result. Cut designs all use the same ORACAL 651 film regardless of size.

Do you offer cast vinyl instead of calendered?

Yes, on request. Our standard cut decals are ORACAL 651, an intermediate calendered film, which is what Orafol specifies for flat vehicle and window graphics. If you want cast, we can produce your design in ORACAL 751C, or 751RA if you want air-release channels for an easier bubble-free install. Cast is a special-request upgrade and carries a surcharge, so contact us before ordering and we will quote it.

How do I install a hood decal?

Cut vinyl decals come pre-masked on transfer tape, so the whole design lifts off and lays down in one piece. Printed RapidAir graphics and cast 751RA carry air-release channels for a bubble-free application.
