Every full-size Ford Bronco built since 2021 carries its spare tire on the rear swing gate, out in the sun, road salt, and trail dust. A spare tire cover is the fastest way to protect that tire and personalize the back of your Bronco at the same time. Here is the short answer on fit: match the cover to your tire's overall diameter, which runs from about 30 inches on the smallest stock setup to 35 inches with the Sasquatch package and 37 inches on the Bronco Raptor. And because every 2021 and newer Bronco has a backup camera mounted in the tailgate directly behind the spare, you will almost always want a cover with a camera cutout. This guide covers sizing, camera hole options, and design ideas, with covers starting at $69.99.

What size spare tire cover does my Ford Bronco need?
Your cover size is simply the overall diameter of your spare tire. On a sixth-generation Bronco (2021 to 2026) that diameter depends on how the truck was built, because Ford fits bigger tires as you move up the lineup and the Sasquatch package moves you to 35 inch tires from the factory. Use the table below to land in the right range, then confirm against the sidewall of your actual spare before you order.
The factory tire codes behind those numbers come from Ford's own equipment listings. Broncos without the Sasquatch package leave the plant on sizes between 255/70R16 and 285/70R17 depending on how they are equipped, the Sasquatch package brings LT315/70R17, and the Bronco Raptor gets 37x12.5R17 tires with a matching full-size 37x12.5R17 spare. You can read the equipment listings yourself in the 2025 Ford Bronco order guide. Because Ford changes what is standard and optional from year to year, treat those codes as the starting point and let the sidewall of your own spare have the final word.
| How your Bronco is built | Approximate spare diameter | Cover size to order |
|---|---|---|
| Stock, without the Sasquatch package (255/70R16 through 285/70R17) | About 30 to 33 inches | 30, 32, or 33 inch, matched to your measured spare |
| Sasquatch package (LT315/70R17, the 35 inch tire) | About 34.4 inches | 35 inch |
| Bronco Raptor, or any Bronco running 37 inch tires (37x12.5R17) | About 37 inches | 37 inch, in the elastic ringed camera hole or no hole option |
Two important notes. First, some owners run a smaller spare than their main tires, and plenty of Broncos have been retired from stock rubber, so always check the spare itself rather than the tires on the ground. Second, our covers are made in sizes from 27 to 37 inches, which covers every factory Bronco from the smallest setup through Sasquatch and on up to the Raptor. The 37 inch size is offered with the elastic ringed camera hole or with no hole, and it is priced at $74.99 rather than the $69.99 that starts the range from 27 inches up.
Does a Bronco tire cover need a backup camera hole?
Yes, in almost every case. Every 2021 and newer Ford Bronco comes with a backup camera as standard equipment, and Ford mounts it in the tailgate directly behind where the spare tire sits. A cover without an opening will sit flush against the lens and block your view when you shift into reverse.
That is why every cover we make comes with a rear camera choice at checkout: a standard camera hole, an elastic ringed hole that grips cleanly around the lens area, or no hole at all for older rigs and trailers that do not have a camera back there. At the 37 inch size the choice narrows to the elastic ringed hole or no hole. If you are not sure what your vehicle has, our guide on how to tell if your Wrangler or Bronco has a backup camera walks you through a 30 second check.

What about the Bronco Sport?
The Bronco Sport does not carry an external spare, so there is nothing on the back to cover. Its spare lives under the cargo floor. If you drive a Sport and want to personalize the exterior, decals and window graphics are the way to go instead. Not sure which one you have? Our comparison of the Ford Bronco vs. Bronco Sport breaks down the differences and which accessories fit each.
What designs look best on a Bronco?
The spare is a 30 to 37 inch round canvas at eye level for everyone behind you, so this is where Bronco owners have the most fun. A few directions that consistently work:
- Lean into the Sasquatch theme. If your Bronco has the Sasquatch package, a Bigfoot cover is practically required equipment. It is the off-road inside joke that never gets old.
- Pop culture. Movie and sci-fi designs turn the spare into a conversation starter at every trailhead and parking lot.
- Funny sayings. Humor covers get photographed more than any other style we sell.
- Patriotic and outdoors. Flags, mountains, and wildlife match the Bronco's whole personality.
A spherical sci-fi tribute that fits the round canvas perfectly. One of our most photographed designs.
Because let's be honest, your Bronco is exactly that. Bold red cross design that reads from three cars back.
How do I measure my spare to be sure?
Read the size code on the sidewall of the spare itself. A Bronco tire marked 315/70R17 works out like this: 315 is the tread width in millimeters, 70 means the sidewall is 70 percent of that width, and 17 is the wheel diameter in inches. The math is (315 x 0.70 x 2) divided by 25.4, plus 17, which comes to roughly 34.4 inches, so you order the 35 inch cover. If math is not your idea of a good time, just measure straight across the tire at its widest point with a tape measure and round to the nearest size. Frequently asked questions
What size spare tire cover fits a Ford Bronco Sasquatch?
Broncos with the Sasquatch package leave the factory on 35 inch tires, and a 315/70R17 measures about 34.4 inches in overall diameter. Order a 35 inch cover.
Do you make a 37 inch cover for the Bronco Raptor?
Yes. Ford lists the Bronco Raptor with 37x12.5R17 tires and a matching full-size spare, and our 37 inch cover is built for it. At that size the rear camera choice is the elastic ringed hole or no hole, and the price is $74.99.
Do Ford Bronco tire covers need a camera hole?
Yes. All 2021 and newer full-size Broncos have a factory backup camera in the tailgate directly behind the spare, so choose a cover with a camera cutout to keep the lens clear.
Will a Jeep tire cover fit a Ford Bronco?
Often, yes. Covers are sized by tire diameter, not by vehicle. A 32 inch cover fits a 32 inch tire whether it hangs on a Wrangler or a Bronco. The one thing to confirm is the camera cutout position, since both vehicles mount cameras near the spare.
Does the Ford Bronco Sport take a spare tire cover?
No. The Bronco Sport stores its spare under the cargo floor, so there is no external spare to cover. Tire covers apply to the full-size Bronco only.
How do I keep a tire cover from flapping at highway speed?
Order the correct diameter so the elastic drawstring back cinches tight against the inside of the tire, and seat the cover so the elastic sits behind the tire edge all the way around. A properly sized cover stays put at highway speeds.
What are Ford Bronco spare tire covers made of?
Ours are a durable polyester and nylon weave printed with UV-resistant sublimation ink, so the design is part of the fabric rather than a sticker on top. They are weather resistant and machine washable, and the elastic drawstring back means installation takes seconds with no tools.
